Happy Colouring!

Take the overgrown path less traveled, and enter a mysterious world where wolves lurk in the shadows, the screeches of owls gives you goosebumps, and curious creatures live in harmony with nature. This gorgeous hardcover colouring book is calling out to be brought to life with lots of colour, and maybe a touch of magic. I was so very pleased when I opened the package that revealed this book. It was shockingly huge, hardcover which is fantastic because you can colour anywhere, and it has so many beautifully illustrated pictures to colour! The paper is bright white, smooth and thick, making colouring a dream. Fineliners don't bleed through and the pencils glided right over the paper. The woman was coloured in Prismacolor Premiers, and the moth was coloured in Steadtler fine liners. You'll defintely need some fineliners in this book due to there being some images with very fine lines and spaces (perfect example being the moth patterned page---it's a very up close pic). There are some pages that are a repetitive pattern, a trend I'm finding all too common (unfortunately) in these adult colouring books, that almost remind me of wallpaper. I wish the book would've stuck with the theme of forest creatures, fairies, maybe thrown in a magic lagoon with mermaids, ect. Here's a sneak peek into the book's pages! All in all, this is probably one of my new favorite books. Definitely not a "go in the drawer" colouring book. This will be on display on my bookshelf for all to see! So head on over to Amazon and grab it while you can! Thank you to Jacqui Small Publishing for sending me this book for review!

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
