Suzanne Houghton is quite honestly almost every craft hobbyist balled up into one woman. She crochets, paints, designs, and even has time to illustrate and create a wonderful colouring book! "Just Add Colour: An original colouring book for any age", NOT to be mistaken as a part of the Just Add Color Series by Sarah Walsh and Lisa Congdon, contains a variety of different drawings and patterns to colour. And I know I like my options. You'll never get bored because there is no underlying theme and you're not colouring the same things. Birds, flowers, houses, and even a chameleon hanging out on a branch, her illustrations are detailed, and just all around a joy to colour. Fourteen pages of patterns and images fill this A4 pad colouring book, with each image printed on one side of heavy weight paper (ALWAYS a plus in the colouring world). And come on, who doesn't want to feel like an artist with their "sketch pad"! Here's some of Suzanne's beautifully illustrated pages, that obviously show originality and creativity, along with my completed coloured in page that I absolutely adore! Isn't it just fab?! Head on over to Suzanne's Etsy shop and check out her book and other cool stuff she designs as well as showing her some love by heading to her Facebook page by clicking her logo! And did you notice the book says "Volume 1"? Thats right! There are more tricks up her sleeve! Suzanne's second book is underway as we speak! So stay tuned! Do I see another review of her work in the future? Fingers crossed! :)

Heavy paper is always the best...I hate when ink runs through the paper it gives it a weird wet look and if the papers too thin, it wrinkles and curls up...yuck

This is gorgeous. I really love it. I wasn't really going to get into buying anything from Etsy, but this book has changed my mind. Thank you so much for sharing!

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
