She's done it again everyone! Lizzie has brought us another whimsically gorgeous colouring book. And it's the theme we have all been waiting for---CHRISTMAS!!!! Let's go on a second magical adventure where sugar plum fairies dance, wise men journey, and christmas trees come alive! Let's start off with the gorgoeus cover. The gold and red foil embellishments definitely bring a sense of holiday magic and wonder before even opening up the book. The cover folds out and you can colour the inside image too! Lizzie created another treasure hunt within her book, giving one the challenge to find all of the "Father Christmases" hidden throughout the pages! The illustrations are stunning as always. The book features lots of christmas scenery and culture all over the world, along with some biblical references, and of course christmas icons we all know and love like The Nutcracker ballet, christmas ornaments, festive foods and the big guy himself, Santa flying overhead in his sleigh. On each page, there is a title placed within the image or in the corner of what the scene is depicting, which is great for more of her abstract pieces as it puts it into perspective once you know what you're looking at. Lizzie has truely captured the magic of Christmas in this 96 page book. The paper is great quality too, with no bleed through from any of my water based pens (Faber Castell artist brush pitt pens, Staedtler, Stabilo, and Tombow). She even included her signature test page again, a favorite of mine! Let's take a closer look into the festive pages of The Magical Christmas! This book makes me want to curl up with my fuzzy socks and blanket, my favorite pencils and pens, and express my love of christmas through colouring! It's the most wonderful time of the year, so what are you waiting for. Grab your copy on Amazon here to get yourself in the Christmas spirit, ask Santa, or even get it for someone else as an awesome stocking filler for a friend or family member.

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
