Katie Funk has created all sorts of cool designs and incorporated them into a book for all of us coloristas to add our own flair to! But wait! She has two versions of Color Me Zen--the convenient sized 11x14 book, meant for framing, and the "Chillax" edition, featuring simplistic and raw forms of her designs. You can mellow out with the smaller one or go by my motto: "go big, or go home!" The "Chillax" edition of Color Me Zen features 20 images of the raw form of her ArtofZen Etsy shop designs. Simplistic illustrations with bold lines leaves room for lots of colour interpretation and even creating your own designs within the image! The book also has a tear out piece of cardstock in the back that can go inbetween pages as to not experience bleed through to the next image. FIRST book I've seen to ever have that and it is genius! Here's a peek inside-- Now here's the big boy! I absolutely love that Katie made the size a convenient 11x14 book (includes 20 designs). If you want to frame your finished work, you don't need to buy an expensive custom frame or go on the hunt for a size you know you'll never find. The images are sections taken from her finished ArtofZen designs. Intricate but not too complex, this book will aid in relaxation, allowing one to fall into a state of tranquility while colouring in these mandala designs. Another thing I love is that each page has a colour palette column on the left side of each picture for you to test what colours or mediums you want to use before you tackle the image itself. It also has the tear out piece of cardstock to fit between the pages. A lot of thought and time went into this book. Take a look! So head over to Katie's Etsy shop where you can purchase her book or even one of her coloured prints that come in different sizes to suit your needs :) I can't wait to dive into one of the 11x14 designs and frame it. I'll be sure to update here when it's done!

Thank you! As a designer who loves to color I went into this with the idea of creating the book I always wanted to buy. I am just amazed at how many other people are out there that share the same love of coloring and it's so cool to get to share it with you.

Looks good, love the fact it's spiral bound and the space on the side to test your colours

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
