**Click photos to go to the product on Amazon US** The third book in Anastasia's series is Birds, featuring every bird you could possibly imagine, giving you endless colour combination opportunities. Match a swan with it's true colour identity, or go outside the colour box and give its plume a bright neon colour! It's truley left up to you! As you can see I gave my flock of birds quite the colour scheme (with my signature hand made cloud stencil and pastels of course added to the background!) Her books really leave no room for disappointment! They're simply lovely to colour in. However, the last product that Staedtler gave me for review were their triangular barreled colored pencils, and with these, I was a bit disappointed with the quality. First, lets spread our wings and fly into a sneak peek of this wonderful book of birds of flight.... See! Gorgeous once again! But to enhance my colouring experience in this book in the future, I'll be using other materials because these pencils are definitely not Staedtler's strongsuit. Their product says they're easy to sharpen and easily blendable----both false in my opinion. Here's what happens when you sharpen them in different sharpeners: a handheld and a battery operated one. My Bostitch Twist & Sharp is a very good sharpener, but like my Crayolas, it took major chunks out of the wood of the pencil. You see in the left image that there is less breakage in my iPoint sharpener, but it's still there. As for blending, it's not easy. This result shown in the picture took extreme amounts of layering and heavy pressure, and you can still see where the shades start and stop. I wouldn't call these pencils artist quality, but they're definitely more suitable for beginners as well as kids. And in my opinion, Crayolas feel and look better (and are cheaper) than these. What Steadtler should do is take the shades of colours they used and make more ergo soft pencils ;) All in all, not the greatest quality of pencil to use, but again to each their own! This concludes my reviews of the Colour Me Mindful Series by the talented Anastasia Catris, as well as all of Staedtler's Colouring Products! All in all, these books are a MUST to preorder, and Staedtler's marker pens and Ergosoft pencils are a staple in any colorista's colouring arsenal!

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
