But wait there's more! She also sent me a surprise gift of three, super thick, durable and colourable (?) postcards! They're gorgeous and such high quality, my Staedtlers and Stabilos glided perfectly on it!

Jenean Morrison, a designer and artist from Memphis, Tennessee, is bringing out the flower child in all of us! Her stunning flower patterns and designs have even been licensed into fabric, and her paintings exhibited in places like Vegas hotels/casinos. I seriously need a big comfy chair upholstered by her. It would totally be my new colouring spot! She brings forth so much inspiration in her work, it becomes motivating to want to colour in her illustrations from her first book, Flower Designs, rated one of the Best Books of 2014 on Amazon! Filled with over 45 images of beautiful flower patterns to colour, this book won't disappoint. The illustrations are so fun and quirky, and the complexity ranges from simple to intricate. The pictures are printed only on one side but Jenean does prompt you in her opening page to slip a sheet of paper between pages as to not bleed through to the next image. The only thing that would make this book perfect would be for the paper to be a bit thicker, which I hope she does with her other books! Her illustrations are also left a bit open for interpretation for the colorist to add funky designs and linework of their own! I attempted such a thing (never again haha). I used Fantasia pencils, Staedtler fineliners and Stabilo 88s on my coloured page, which all showed up beautifully vibrant! Grab your flower headband, peace sign necklace, and some aviators and lets get lost in Jenean's funky designs that'll take you back to the 70s! Feeling inspired to colour these yet? I know I had a blast colouring in this book and I know you all will too. flowers have been a redundant theme within the colouring world, but Jenean has really taken a different spin on it and made her designs a style that is one of a kind! But wait there's more! She also sent me a surprise gift of three, super thick, durable and colourable (?) postcards! They're gorgeous and such high quality, my Staedtlers and Stabilos glided perfectly on it! So what are you waiting for! Head over to Amazon and purchase this book and be sure to keep an eye out for future books to come! A special thank you to Jenean for sending me her book to review!

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
