"Mandalas", "Dazzling Patterns", and "Optical Illusions" are three books that comprise Barron's Just Add Color Series. All three have their own flare and style, and while some images overpower others, they are lovely books. Great quality paper with no bleed through was awesome with these books having double sided images. Each book has over 120 images so that is over 360 images to keep you busy! Let's take a deeper look into each one individually as to not confuse! Just Add Color: Mandalas From full page mandalas to multiple small mandalas fitted on one page, the illustrations range from complex to "easygoing". Not simplistic, but not headache worthy. So depending on your mood you can choose your image without having all of one or the other. The designs are different throughout and while some have repeating patterns, none of them are alike, essential to me when it comes to mandalas (sometimes they just all look the same in my opinion lol) Here's a glimpse into "Mandalas"! Just Add Colour: Optical Illusions "Optical Illusions" is definitely different than any book I've ever seen! Now, while line patterns aren't really my cup of tea to colour, and while some pages hurt my eyes to even look at I can't even pretend that this isn't a cool book (especially when it's coloured in). Colouring these pages in at first it looks like a flat image. But once colour is added, it POPS and is really neat looking. I only coloured in one picture, but I feel like if I were to colour more in, the book will grow on me. Here's a peek into these mind boggling illustrations! Just Add Color: Dazzling Patterns Saved the best for last! This one was my favorite out of all three. It appealed to me most--the floral patterns immediately drawing me in. Colouring in "Dazzling Patterns" I felt the most relaxed. There's detailed pictures, but just like the mandalas, there is an illustration to colour for your mood. Simplistic, like the one I coloured or more complex if you're in the colouring zone! Check it out! Barron's has provided us with books that can appeal to any colorista out there. Mandala lovers and pattern lovers alike now have a book for them (or get all 3 if you love them all!) Head over to Barron's website to purchase one! And stay tuned for more reviews of their books!

Hahaha! I say the same thing. The optical illusion one makes me sick, but I love the others. They are going in my wish list. Thanks for sharing these!

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
