Thanks to Google Translate, I was able to score this amazing colouring book! The French SERIOUSLY have their colouring books on lockdown. I mean everything is high quality; even the cover has a lush feel to it. Translated to "Wonders Under the Sea", Mesdemoiselles has brought us a unique take on marine life, from can-can lady legs coming out of seashells, to derby hat racing sea horses. It's funny, odd, and such a joy to colour in! Thick, bright white lovely paper with tons of gorgeous illustrations are waiting for you in this book! It's about the size of Johanna Basford's books and the style is similar in the cover jacket. I have absolutely no idea what the words inside on the introduction page say, but it's all about the colouring anyways so it doesn't matter! Most of the images are a two page spread, which are lovely, but I wish it was a different image on each page that way you're not trying to colour in the binding. There was absolutely no bleed through with my fine liners, so no need to worry about the front and back printing style of the book. I bet that the gambling octopus would wager you'd fancy a look-see into this beautiful book! Am I right?? Dive under the surface and embark on a topsy-turvy underwater adventure! And soon it won't be available just to the French! Hamlyn, a sublet of Octopus Publishing group, will be releasing the English version Under the Sea July 16th, along with their second book Chat (Cats), which I'll have a review up for soon, as they surprised me not only with this, but their other gem they created. A huge thank you to Aurelie Castex and Claire Laude, the talented ladies behind Mesdemoiselles, for sending me their masterpieces so I could share their genius with the world!

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
