Mindfulness...what does it actually mean to "be mindful". Honestly, in today's world of being plugged in and eyes to a screen the majority of the day, I feel as though not many know what it means to be mindful. Life just passing by as we tune into the latest and greatest on social media. In other words, do you know what's going on in this moment right now? Before I sat to write this review, I was sitting on my couch and found myself so immersed in my Facebook, I glanced up to see where my little one was crawling too, but instead looked up to see my oldest giving her little sis one of her toys. It was the cutest thing, her helping. Ava never shares; she's a toddler, she's learning. And then I thought, well maybe she's done this before but I've just never seen it. I started to watch them closely, and the way she interacted with the baby. I felt so proud of her, happy that I've done my job as a parent to teach our 2 year old to be mindful of her almost 9 month old sister, as I was being mindful in watching them right now. Reflecting. Emotions. Living in the moment happening right in front of you. That is mindfulness. And more need to do so, which is why so many adults colour! Though Emma Farraron's and her best seller may help steer people in the right direction to becoming more mindful! Free your mind and delve into this adorable, convenient travel pocket sized colouring book. Easily can fit in a purse or briefcase so you can take it with you anywhere you go--work, a friend's house...that doctor's office waiting room is pretty boring! The images are cute and fun: birds, flowers, and patterns are waiting to be given some colour. And you can easily do a few images in the time it would take to do one full size image. The paper is decent quality with front and back images. My fineliners did not bleed through! However when colouring with coloured pencils, layering and blending becomes a bit of a problem because the ink from the image on the following page rubs onto the back side. It's easily eraseable just a bit of an annoyance. But the colour shows up beautifully in this book. Take a mindful sneak peek into it's pages! I definitely recommend this book for the busy people on the go--the travellers, the working man or even the stay at home moms who just want to get a quick coloring session in before the kids wake up from their nap! That's me! Haha. Get your copy NOW on Amazon! Thank you to Emma and her publishers for sending me her book for review!

The "Colorista"I'm Kourtney, and I'm a mother of two litle girls and the wife of a Navy sailor. I review colouring books and products for publishers and art supply companies to give my Coloristas a guide to buying and growing their collections. And of course I love to colour any chance I get (mostly when the kids are asleep!)
